Adele’s 25

Adele’s 25

A lot has happened to Adele Laurie Blue Adkins since her first demo appeared on Myspace back in 2007.

Between graduating from the BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology, signing a contract with XL Recordings, and releasing her first album 19 in 2008 and her second album 21 in 2011, the young Londoner managed to become everyone’s favorite goose-bump-inducing vocalist.

Her album 21 topped the charts in the U.S. for 21 non-consecutive weeks, setting the record for the longest number 1 album by a female artist in Billboard history – and earned the Grammy and BRIT Award for Album of the Year. A year later she wrote and recorded the James Bond theme “Skyfall,” which won an Oscar, a Grammy and a Golden Globe for Best Original Song.

In 2015, after a hiatus from the spotlight, Adele broke equally impressive records when her massively-anticipated third album 25 became the world’s best-selling album of 2015 with 17.4 million copies sold within the year. It has since sold over 19 million copies.

But the story of Adele is more than just smashing sales records and trophies – it’s that of a unique, sincere and universally-loved talent with a voice for the ages.

We’re honored to welcome the arrival of Adele’s 25 on TIDAL. Hear it now!
