Ari Lennox Talks Morning Ritual, Hints at Debut Album
Ari Lennox is well-versed in sexy R&B, as heard on her 2016 EP Pho. The project’s intoxicating opener, “Yuengling,” named after America’s oldest brewery, is a woozy toast for two while the buzzy number “Backseat” (featuring her Dreamville label mate, Cozz) nods to love-making in the whip.
Beyond the mic, the Washington, D.C. native — who will be invading the TIDAL Stage at this weekend’s Made in America Festival in Philadelphia — is just as candid as her grown and sexy persona on wax.
In a quick email Q&A, the sultry singer-songwriter told us about her morning ritual, honing her soulful voice and hints at her forthcoming debut album.
