Breaking the Chains: Usher Debuts Visual Social Justice Experience

Coming out this week, Usher and director Daniel Arsham, will release part two of a visual experience centered on Usher’s song “Chains,” viewable for all exclusively on TIDAL.

The experience will be available exclusively online at tidal.com and a teaser can be found below, ahead of its release on Friday, January 29.

Like “Don’t Look Away” – the ground-breaking interactive experience Usher debuted on TIDAL late last year – the new video aims to share eye-opening realities of social injustice with the goal of sparking a debate that leads to change.

In conjunction with the video release on TIDAL, Usher and Film the Future are hosting a public viewing of “Chains” in New York City after its debut. The exhibition, Art for Social Justice, is presented by Art for Amnesty and will be held on Saturday, January 30 from 12–5 p.m. at the Urban Zen Center in NYC.

Leveraging its unique ability to make a social impact on a global scale, TIDAL will also be hosting a contest for college students to win the chance to have Usher come speak at their school. Details available on TIDAL’s Facebook page. Read the FAQ here.
