Classical Album of the Week

Classical Album of the Week

This week’s Classical Album features music by three of the great German composers: Brahms, Schumann and Mahler.

Daniel Hope is without a doubt one of the most creative and innovative classical musicians of today. He dares and challenges like few others and his repertoire choices are always incredibly exciting.

Whether it is collaborating with the German composer and arranger Max Richter or Hollywood classics from the movie-world, Daniel Hope always guaranties a great musical experience.

And on this brand new album, he has teamed up with three fine musicians.

Namely, cellist David Finckel, pianist Wu Han and, not least, viola-legend Paul Neubauer. Together they play piano-quartets by Brahms, Schumann and Mahler.

The album was recorded at the Lincoln Center in New York and produced by the Chamber Music Society – in addition the four musicians have been performing these pieces on an extensive tour in the U.S.

Enjoy this wonderful album in TIDAL.
