End of the Line: Charlie Puth

End of the Line: Charlie Puth

With End of the Line, we ask artists to complete unfinished sentences. Filling out this edition is 23-year-old pop singer Charlie Puth. After first getting his name out by performing cover songs on YouTube, Puth earned widespread attention for his featured vocals on Wiz Khalifa’s breakaway single “See You Again,” a tribute to the late Paul Walker from the Furious 7 soundtrack. The new star also co-wrote Trey Songz’ viral “Slow-Motion” and scored his own hit with the track, “Marvin Gaye” (feat. Meghan Trainor,) off of his brand new EP, Some Types of Love.

Hello, My Name Is Charlie Puth and I’m currently single.

When I wake up in the morning, the first thing I always do is shower.

People may not know this about me, but I can hear any song and play it back after hearing it just once.

I’m happiest when I’m eating food.

I’m terrified of being in large crowds.

My real life hero is my mom and dad.

My goal in life is to remain happy and humble as I was before all this fame stuff started to happen.

The most rewarding thing I know is NAILING the chorus of a song that I’m writing.

My day is not the same without my hair product.

If I met a younger version of myself I would tell myself take a chill pill and stop caring so much about what other people think.

I admire anyone who is confident with themselves.

One day, when I get the chance, I would like to write a #1 country song.

I consider myself pretty goofy.

Now that I’m finished, I’m going to go to sleep, wake up, and write a song.

But before I leave, I want to say thank you so much everyone. You are making my dreams come true.
