Findlay: What Are You Listening To?
British rocker Findlay takes us through some choice cuts in this TIDAL-exclusive playlist.
Baxter Dury, “Prince of Tears”
This whole album is amazing. This track has such a nice string arrangement. I’ve been listening to this every day recently.
Superorganism, “It’s All Good”
I love this band. It is really experimental pop music. The singer, Orono, is only 17. They’re going to be massive. Really need to see them live!!
Mitski, “Thursday Girl”
I only discovered Mitski recently and immediately went back and listened to all her records. I love her voice and singing style. Her songwriting style is really unique.
Soko, “Sweet Sound of Ignorance”
I’ve been following Soko for a long time. She’s so talented and seems like such a sweet person. This track is so cool. I love the Connan Mockasin vibe in production.
Another favorite lady of mine, Feist. I’m loving the more lo-fi sound on her new record. One of the best live performers I’ve ever seen as well.
St. Vincent, “Pills”
This song is fucking amazing. The outro is genius. I really think she’s like the female David Bowie. She gets better with every record.
Beach House, “Walk in the Park”
I’ve been listening to a lot of Beach House recently, especially on tour. One of the best live bands I’ve seen as well.
Black Honey, “Dig”
This track just came out. I fucking love this band so much. I think Izzy is an incredible front woman. I can’t wait until they release a full album.
Francobollo, “Kinky Lola”
We just played with these guys in Copenhagen. They were awesome!!! This is a tune. Reminds me of the Pixies.
Santo and Johnny, “Reflections”
All this band’s stuff is instrumental surf music. It’s so fucking good. I’ve been listening to them a lot on tour. It feels like you’re in a Tarantino movie when you are listening to this.
