Indiana Fever’s Tiffany Mitchell Goes R&B For Her Warm-Up Playlist
While most athletes play up-tempo hip-hop tracks before showing out on the court, Indiana Fever’s Tiffany Mitchell prefers going R&B.
The Charlotte-bred baller confesses to listening to SZA’s slow jam “Love Galore” featuring Travis Scott “10 times” and Trey Songz’s latest album, Tremaine to get her in the right frame of mind.
“Our team song is Nicki Minaj and Yo Gotti’s “Rake It Up” and Cardi B’s “Bodak Yellow,”" says Mitchell, who puts her teammates on to current hits. ”Personally, I listen to more slower music before a game.”
There’s still room for a mellow turn-up on her playlist as she’s plucked laid-back rap tunes like 2 Chainz’s “It’s A Vibe” and “Good Drank” as well as DJ Khaled’s glow-up anthem “Shining” featuring Beyonce and JAY-Z.
“Most people would want to get hype and listen to get-crunk music and I’m already that type of person so I need more mellow stuff to just relax,” the 22-year-old hoop star adds, noting that she keeps her tastes more millennial-friendly. “I’m not a throwback person. I’m more new age, new era, 21 Savage type person.”
