Lydia Loveless’ “Heaven” Gets Remixed
Lydia Loveless released her stellar LP, Real, last year and now she’s getting the remix treatment. We’ve got the exclusive remix of her track “Heaven,” by AuraSound, right here.
Loveless held a contest for a “Heaven” remix, choosing three to appear on the final EP, out Friday. AuraSound’s (a.k.a. English DJ/producer Robert Harman) drum ‘n’ bass version of the track caught her ear in particular right off the bat.
“I really love pop music, so I was pumped to get to listen to the remixes (even if listening to yourself can be torture — it was all different enough to make it bearable),” she told TIDAL. “I liked the AuraSound remix in particular because it played with my favorite aspects of the original — the harmonies and the eighty layers of acoustic guitar (just kidding, I think I only did five). It’s melodic enough for a chump like me to picture being in the club and enjoying it.”
The EP, titled Heaven Remixes, features a nu-disco/house rendition and a ‘90s-Chicago-style house version as well, but you’ll have to wait until Friday to partake. For now, enjoy AuraSound’s vision of “Heaven” exclusively on TIDAL.
