Artist: Kap G
Origin: Atlanta, GA
Sounds Like: Atlanta Hip-Hop with a New Cultural Twist

Born in California and raised in Atlanta, Kap G is a Mexican-American rapper with a story to tell. Kap G discovered his talent for rhyming during his childhood and soon after began recording using a mere Rock Band video game microphone. Although he kept most of his music to himself during his formative years, Kap began releasing music and building a large following during his senior year of high school, and soon enough he was recording with established rappers like Young Thug and Chief Keef. Kap’s lyrics and style are infused with the rich Mexican-American culture that is under-represented in today’s hip-hop scene. His newly released El Southside album is a must listen for any true fans of hip-hop.

Artist: Maty Noyes
Origin: Corinth, MS
Sounds Like: Hypnotizing, Upbeat Pop

Maty Noyes is a singer and songwriter best known for her work on Kygo’s hit track “Stay.” Hailing from Corinth, MS, Noise is no stranger to the spotlight. In addition to being featured on the globally-acclaimed Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack, she has also worked with Grammy nominated songwriter Stephan Moccio. With recent media coverage from the likes of The FADER, Billboard, and VH1, Maty Noyes has been paving the way for her Noyes Complaint EP, which just dropped last week, to be a surefire success.

Artist: Christian Löffler
Origin: Rostock, Germany
Sounds Like: Euphoric Electronic with Gloomy Undertones

Christian Löffler is a German painter, photographer and musician, as well as a co-Founder of Ki Records. The self-taught electronic composer began creating music at the ripe age of 14, spending subsequent years developing and perfecting deep and moving sounds that produce music for the body and for the soul. With his music and photography often becoming intertwined, his work offers bundles of raw emotion and euphoria that provide his audience with an emotionally holistic and refined listening experience. His excellent brand new album is titled Mare.

Artist: Ray Blk
Origin: London, UK
Sounds Like: Soulful Urban R&B

Making a name for herself out of South London, Ray Blk is a young R&B/Soul singer often described as one of the brightest talents to emerge from the UK urban scene. Informed by personal experiences, Ray’s music is filled with stories and lessons dating back to her childhood. Her latest track, “My Hood,” featuring superstar grime artist Stormzy, was added to Radio One’s “In New Music We Trust” playlist. Her new, self-released debut EP, Durt, came out just days ago.

Artist: G Perico
Origin: Los Angeles, CA
Sounds Like: Rhythmic West Coast Hip-Hop

Born and raised in Los Angeles, G Perico has been surrounded by music for his entire life. In addition to being a vivid storyteller and poet from early on, Perico’s uncle ran an independent record label and recording studio out of his grandmother’s house. He began recording and grooming his skills as a rapper at the age of 17, but found it hard to escape the street life that so many urban youth fall prey to. In 2011 he started his label, So Way Out Records, and began recording his first two mixtapes, Tha Innerprize and Hiatus. Following this, G Perico began working on his Tha Innerprize 2 mixtape, which includes his biggest hit yet, “G-Shit.” Recently, G Perico has collaborated with prominent west coast artists such as Nipsey Hussle, Mozzy, AD and more. Check out his latest project, Shit Don’t Stop, today.
