Watch Episode 1 of GoldLink’s Tour-Doc Series
Growing up in the DMV, GoldLink has emerged as one of the most lyrically talented and unique young rappers in the game right now, fusing elements of go-go music, funk and hip-hop to form his “future bounce” sound.
In fact, the 23-year-old rapper has had heads bumping and legs moving since his debut mixtape, The God Complex, back in 2014, one of the most acclaimed albums of that year by such outlets as Complex, Spin and Clash.
Then GoldLink accomplished more in just over single year than many young artists do in five. He was voted into XXL’s 2015 Freshman Class, worked with Rick Rubin, released his next project And After That, We Didn’t Talk, and signed a major label deal with RCA Records.
Since then, GoldLink teamed up with the likes of Kaytranada and TDE rapper Isaiah Rashad to release singles “Fall In Love” and “Untitled.” His major label debut At What Cost was released just over a month ago, and is an exceptional blend of both new and old school sounds.
Currently on the road in support of Swedish electronic outfit Little Dragon, TIDAL is proud to exclusively present GoldLink’s new tour-doc series. Watch the first episode, “DC to Coachella, And Back,“ now.
